I wrote a post for the genealogy blog today that involved
pictures taken at the house with my earliest memories
from my childhood. I needed to find out the name of one of the
nearby streets and used Google Map, and then out of a bit of
curiosity used the 'street view' feature which is a digital
camera view of the street taken as if you were driving down
the street.
And there it was. 37 Beach Street in Malden. The house is
a pale green now instead of the brown it was, and the
houses of the Corielli and Tedesco families on either side
are different colors as well. But it's the same house, the
same neighborhood and I recognized them even after 53
years away from it.
Funny how some memories stay with us longer than others,
eh?
