HEY THERE

Yeah, so I never followed through on starting blogging here more
regularly. But, it's not like I don't blog at all. After all, I have three
other blogs!

I do need to start writing fiction again. I've got the itch. I've
been part of a writers group that some of us ex Braintree Borders
employees started up and so far I've just been using the stories
I've written already. But Ian's been sort of pushing to get out again,
so we'll see what happens.

HEY THERE, IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE?

I should talk, eh? I haven't posted much here in a long time,
nor have I done much rp or writing related to rp. This doesn't
mean I haven't been writing at all; I've been pretty active
writing two genealogy related blogs and there's also a book
blog I've neglected lately.

Anyway, I'm going to start posting here more too and try to
start writing abot BT and my other characters again. I should
be able to do better here this year than last. After all, I only
posted twice all last year. I'm not sure but I think a little
ladybug has been nagging at me for more "Bill writings".

I'm going to try!

I'M STILL BREATHING

Well, as it turned out, that wasn't pneumonia. It was
congestive heart failure. I was having more and more
difficulty walking and breathing and a few days after
that last post I drove myself to the emergency room
at the South Shore Hospital where they immediately
admitted me. After a week of testing they sent me
home with some meds and on a low sodium diet.

While my heart problem gradually came under control,
I was having trouble with the meds and dehydrating. I
also kept having pain in my right side. Things came to
a head in late March when I passed out at work. When
the EMT's took my blood pressure, it was 58 over 40,
so away I went in the ambulance to SSH again, this time
for ten days. Turns out the pain was the gallstones in the
infected gallbladder, and I was so dehydrated my kidneys
nearly failed. Fun eh?

Long story short, I'm still breathing and I'm at a new
apartment. Details in the next post.

IT'S JANUARY 31 AND I HAVEN'T POSTED ANYTHING HERE YET THIS YEAR?????

Sheesh! I hadn't realized it's been over a month.

Ok, short summary. Holidays were hell on wheels
working but the actual holidays themselves were good.

I have a new computer that the family gave me, a
Toshiba laptop computer I've named Leonard after
the char on Big Bang Theory.

I am still employed at present, which is a GOOD thing,
Ten years there now.

Health has been so-so. Been fighting a chest cold or
something this past week and hoping it's not a repeat of
the pneumonia of 1999.

FIRST SNOW

Well, technically I suppose the snow showers we had back on that
Sunday in October was the first but this is the first snowstorm
of the snow season up here. But since the temps were up near
70 degrees on Thursday it's not sticking yet to paved surfaces.
We'll see if that's still the truth come sunrise.

Other than hat, nothing much to report. (is there ever?)
I went to work Friday but felt miserable and felt the same
way today so I called out sick. That's about it.

But this is post #52 for the year, which equals the totals
for the past two years already. Shooting for 84 if I can.

ACH-OOOOOOOO

By which title you might rightly guess that I have a cold. I do.
The runny nose, sore throat sort and there's an uneasy feeling
in my tummy which might mean it's the flu, n0t a cold. Time will
tell on that last part.

Work was miserable today, not just because of my headcold. They
cutback on payroll this week so we were staffed light until around
five o'clock, an hour before we had an appearance by They Might
Be Giants. That was fun but I was tired and drained by the time
I got out of there at 7:30.

BTW, if you were a person looking for a stress and anxiety control
book, tonight wasn't a good time to wander into our store looking
for one, judging by the look on a poor lady's face when she realized
she was surrounded by a large group of about 300 parents and
toddlers waiting for the music to start!

I'm hoping I'll get some sleep tonight, but if my nose keeps
dripping, I doubt I will get much.

SUNDAY, LAZY SUNDAY!

Didn't really accomplish much today except food shop in
the afternoon and a little rp tonight. Couldn't get my
brain in gear to write Camelot or genealogy.

I had this sudden desire for bagels and cream cheese
so I bought some at the grocery and had a bagel and tea
for dinner tonight. Damn, that was good!

And now, off to bed....
